Kids Style Hub is a new concept in retailing Australian and NZ designed children’s and maternity products. Our new one stop shop features:
- a retail store and website with 100+ Aus & NZ designers products available
- a picnic room where kids can play for free and parents can relax with a coffee
- crafting workshops and other events for both kids and adults
- a party room which can be hired out self catered or fully catered with entertainers
- a multi use room which can be booked out to run classes, events, seminars etc
- a photographers gallery featuring emerging and established artists
- & a photo studio which can be hired out at reasonable rates
Supporting Australian designers
Our concept was born out of a need to support emerging designers and help them grow their businesses. Many of our designers started out selling via markets and online but needed to take that next step without too much risk. We also have designers who are more established but needed to add another aspect to their selling strategy to connect more with the end consumer.
We have some amazingly talented designers here, we believe by showcasing them all in the one environment, we not only support the designers by offering an easy, low risk selling platform, but we also create an amazing customer experience that no other store in Australia can offer.

On consignment sales
If you’re a small home based designer or medium sized business from anywhere in Australia or New Zealand, then you can apply to have your products sold in our retail store where we do all the marketing, selling, packaging and posting for you. If accepted, you can bring or send in your products, they will all be barcoded and be put out on the shelves (and on the website). Best of all this part costs you nothing. It isn’t until one of your products sells that we take out an consignment percentage and then forward the profits to you.
You will get an email each week with a full run down of what has sold adn you can see stock left on the webshop so you can top up if you need to. All profits will go into your bank account on Monday of every week.
Because we will have so many products available, we can keep the percentage reasonable. Most on consignment type stores charge 40 - 50% which we think is a little steep. With such a large collaboration of designers we're able to offer you an on consignment percentage of just 24%. Read the terms and conditions.
Phase 2: Shared studio and retail space

Phase 2: Shared studio and retail space
If your business is busting at the seams and you would love a retail store with space to design and create but the thought of spending around $100,000 each year on rent, outgoings, wages, bills and marketing etc (and this is just for a small 40 sqm store) would break your budget, we may have something for you in the pipeline.
Phase two of Kids Style Hub is a designers hub in which you can rent space on a 6 -12 month lease. Studio sizes will vary in size and price to give some flexibility for different budgets.

Included in the plan is:
- individual design studios
- a central shared area for designers to eat, relax, bounce ideas off each other & have some office banter
- central shared design benches which will allow you to layout and cut fabrics, assemble products or sketch, whatever you need extra space for
- fully equipped meeting rooms in which to hold your large or small meetings, giving you a professional environment to bring your clients
- a kids chill room. If you need to bring your kids into work for the day or after school, no problem!
The webshop
Of course there is a webshop, what business survives without one these days? All of the products available in the retail store are available on our site. We do all the shipping for you, what could be more simple than that? The website will be promoted across the best online platforms around Australia (and eventually the world) and customers will be able to feel safe in the knowledge that their product is coming from one central location.
Photographers
Within Kids Style Hub there is a gallery dedicated to photographers and artists. A selected number of photographers will be able to showcase their portfolio for people to flick through with one key photograph mounted on the wall. All portfolios will be anonymous but will give an indication of price, location covered, types of services offered and wait times for a session. There will also be a helpful blurb about the photographer which will help you to understand their vision and who they are. We want customers to choose photographers based on their style rather than reputation. This way, were able to give new starters a go as well as helping established photographers.
Photographers will also be promoted and bookable via the website.
To book any of the displayed photographers, customers just need to pay a $50 deposit to KSH and the photographer will contact the client for a suitable shoot time / consultation. That way, photographers do not need to pay any upfront fees or weekly rental to showcase their work.
